During Year 10 and 11 students start to think more about life after St Mary’s. Many of our students move to college placements at St Mary’s, but not all do. The students have opportunities to engage with colleges and training providers. We hope that over the course of the 2 years at Key Stage 4, students become more confident and by the time they leave they feel well prepared for their next step.
As part of the EHCP meetings in Year 10 and 11 college and transition options will be discussed. During Year 11 students will be provided with information and support to make informed decisions about college placements.
If you are an ex pupil of St Mary’s we would love to hear from you. We will ask you about your experiences both at school and since leaving school. You may just want to tell our current students about your experiences, or you may be interested in coming back to St Mary’s and talking to some students in person. Either way, your experiences will be of great interest and use to our current pupils, so please do get in touch.
