In support of World Down Syndrome Daythis day we welcomed pupils and staff to come to school wearing some socks that were going to get noticed; some were mismatched socks or crazy ones and colourful ones! The idea of this was to start a conversation, so when people ask about their socks they can tell them, “I’m wearing them to raise awareness of Down syndrome”.
For World Down’s Syndrome Awareness Day KS2W planned, prepared and delivered a cake sale to raise money for the Down’s Syndrome Association. The children created posters, prepared tasty treats and served customers taking donations. They raised an amazing £53.15!
