Our key objective in using the Pupil Premium Grant is to narrow the gap between pupil groups. We aspire for all of our pupils to achieve good progress and monitor the progress of pupils towards this regularly throughout the year.  This monitoring along with our very deep understanding of individuals means that we can target interventions in a timely and effective manner.

Pupil Premium funding is available for particular pupils up to the age of 16, who meet the eligibility criteria below and is passed to our school by Local Authorities. This money is then ring fenced by the school to benefit the eligible pupils and is aimed at improving their educational outcomes and experiences whilst at our school. The eligibility categories include: children who have been assessed as eligible for Free School Meals, ‘Looked After Children’, children adopted and children whose parents are service personnel / or service pensioners. Schools then decide how to use the funding to support those children specifically.

Eligible pupils will have a specific programme of intervention agreed with their parents to ensure the funding is effectively targeted to meet their needs and their progress will be carefully monitored or to support their participation in a particular activity that is seen as relevant to their overall educational progress.    The impact of the use of this funding is then reported to the Governing Body.
