Amanda started her career in advertising and marketing working on clients as varied as Mars, Pedigree Petfoods, Hitachi Consumer Goods and Kimberly Clarke.
Having decided to make a total career change, she started a new ‘life’ as a corporate fundraising manager at the NSPCC where she stayed for 8 years, with her last project being to set up a complete fundraising department to support the final stage of The Children’s Promise, thereby raising £2m.
After a series of different fundraising projects, she set up as a consultant in 2007 and has been successfully raising funds for a variety of organisations including The Royal College of Pathologists. For the past 3 years she has embarked on a new project and is the Chief Operating Officer of Oracle Cancer Trust, a charity supporting research into head and neck cancers.
Amanda is a keen horsewoman who regularly competes for Horsham and District Riding Club, keenly supported by her two dogs, Jake and Digby. She also is a keen cook and enjoys needlework and knitting when time permits, as well as travelling, especially to India and Italy.
Amanda is the lead governor for safeguarding and a member of the Children and Learning committee.
