St Mary’s supports children and young people with speech, language and communication needs and associated, physical or learning difficulties.  We accept children and young people from all over the country on both a residential and non-residential basis and provide tailored, personalised education from Key Stage 2 to Sixth Form.

The Admissions Process

Our admissions process starts with an initial enquiry after which a member of our Senior Leadership Team will contact you to discuss your child's needs in greater depth.  If appropriate, we will invite you in for an informal visit.  This is normally followed by a formal assessment of your child which takes place over three days.

  1. Stage 1 Initial Enquiry: Please call us on 01424 730740 or complete our online form.
  2. Stage 2 Call back. Within 48 hours (during term time) a member of our Senior Leadership Team will contact you
  3. Stage 3 Informal visit. This is an opportunity for you to see what St Mary's can offer.
  4. Stage 4 Assessment: A formal three-day programme at St Mary's for your child.
  5. Stage 5 Offer: If we can meet your needs we will then offer your child a place.
